Great news to share!

So... I am positively over the moon to share with you all that...

I'm a new designer at Sunshine Studio Scraps!!!!

Thank you all for your support during the competition... I was so nervous about the final decision and then so elated that I was one of five ladies chosen to join the Sunshine designer team. My new store is in place and you can find it HERE.

As promised, Snow Day is one of the first kits I am selling in the Sunshine shop. And, I didn't forget about my promise to give the kit away for free, either! So, I had 55 comments from all you lovely people and I plugged them into Random.org today and this is what I got back!

When I match those numbers against the comments, the following five ladies are the lucky winners of my Snow Day kit!!

Arlyn, Maliya, Maggie965, Flowerfun, & BabyofMine

Ladies, look for a private message from me at Sunshine with your coupon code :)

Now, for the rest of you, there is a special sale going on store-wide at Sunshine... so, you can get Snow Day (as well as all my other kits) for half off this weekend!

And finally, to celebrate my new store (and Thanksgiving) with you all, I am running a special sale for the next week!

Simply purchase my Thankful Bounty collection before December 4th and I will send you a coupon to pick up the matching wordart for FREE! The image above is linked to "Thankful Bounty" in my store, or you can click here.

Thanks again for all your support - see you over at the SUN!!

The final round - my new kit!

Hi everyone! Tonight, I am excited to tell you about my newest kit, "Snow Day." This kit was created for the fourth, and final part, of the designer competition at Sunshine Studio Scraps, where, if you've been following along with me, you know I've been trying to win a spot as one of their new designers. If you are new to my blog today - welcome!!

Introducing "Snow Day" - 20 papers, over 60 elements, and a full alpha, too!

The kit will eventually be offered for sale, either at Sunshine Studio Scraps (if I win!) or in my own store if I don't. But, in the meantime, I want to give the kit away for free to five lucky winners. How do you win? Simply visit the gallery at Sunshine Studio Scraps and leave me a comment on the kit to tell me what you think... I'll pull five names at random from among those comments and email those five people a coupon so they can pick up the kit for free! I really appreciate your support by visiting the Sunshine gallery and leaving me your thoughts!

You need to be registered/logged in to view Sunshine's gallery - register HERE if you don't already have an account. Once you are logged in, you can visit my gallery listing for "Snow Day" HERE. So, thanks for visiting their gallery to leave me some comments and Good luck - maybe you'll be one of my five lucky winners!!

Of course, I have also created a coordinating QP freebie for you, which is currently available in the store! Simply visit this link, or click on the preview below, to be taken to the Trixie Scraps shop and snag this freebie for yourself:

Thanks again for supporting me as I run this final leg in the designer competition at Sunshine! I've worked so hard to earn a spot and I am SOOOOOO nervous, waiting to find out the result! I've appreciated all the kind words I've received in previous missions and hope you've all been enjoying the freebies, too! So, I'll be back soon with the news of whether or not I made it. Have a great day!

A Formal Affair

OK, as promised, I am back with my latest kit for the Sunshine Studio Scraps designer competition! For this mission, we were given a small selection of designer tools and instructed to make a monochromatic mini kit. I'll be honest with you... choosing my color was almost the hardest part of creating this kit! But, my hubby challenged me to try black, so I stretched those creative muscles and came up with a formal/wedding kit which I've become pretty proud of.

So, I present to you, "A Formal Affair." The full kit includes 10 papers and 2o elements, suitable for all your wedding and formal occasion photos. As always, you need to visit the Mission gallery at Sunshine to download the full mini kit. I will be leaving it up for free over there for about a week before moving it for sale to my store. Click here to go directly to my kit (remember, you must be logged in to your account at Sun to access the gallery). And, if you go there to download, I cannot stress enough how much myself, and all the designers in the competition, value and appreciate your feedback and comments. So, if you download someone's kit, please do leave a few words for them in the Sun gallery - that's not too much to ask in exchange for all these great kits now, is it? :)

And, I am really on the ball this week... because I have also created a Quickpage freebie for you! I worked on some pages as I created this kit, just to make sure all the papers and elements were working well together. So, I've turned the pages I made into quickpages for all of you! I hope you enjoy them :) Click on the preview to visit the store and download them there.

OK, that's all from me, for today. Please keep your fingers crossed for me in the Sun competition - I understand there will be one more round, so we're likely to hear about who's moving on to the final round sometime Thursday night. I'm so nervous and excited - I think I'll have chewed off all my finger nails and worn out my refresh button by then... lol. Thanks for stopping by today and hope you have a good week!

New kits in the store & a new freebie!

Hi everyone! Hope you've all been having a fabulous week! I'm just dropping in quickly tonight to let you know of two new kits I've added to the store, along with a new freebie!

First up is Aloha Dreams, my Mission #2 kit from the Sunshine designer competition. I left it up over there for a week, but now it has moved into the store. I'm selling it for just $3, but it will be on sale for 20% off for the rest of this week! It has 10 papers, 16 elements AND a full alpha, so its a steal! If you didn't grab it while it was free, definitely don't miss the chance to pick it up on sale. And, this is a good chance to announce my great news - I made it through to round #3 in the designer competition! I was so excited, I literally did a happy dance and it took at least three hours to wipe the silly smile off my face. So, I'll have a new kit for you from that round very soon... its being quality checked, as we speak :) In the meantime, click on the preview below to find Aloha Dreams in the store, and read on to see my newest mini kit and freebie!

Next up is my brand new mini kit, Robert, created in honor of (and named after) my father-in-law. When you visit the kit in the store, you'll find out why I made a kit in his honor and how I got the name Trixie... I am really proud of this very sophisticated, masculine kit. There just isn't enough "grown-up guy" kits on the market... and this one fits the bill. It has 10 papers and 10 elements in shades of brown, tan, navy blue and brick red... you're gonna love it! It's also on sale for 20% off for the next week in the store - click on the preview to pick it up!

And finally, I have a new freebie for you! I used my new Robert kit to create these two Quickpages for you, and they are free to download as my thanks for visiting the store - while you are there, please consider supporting my business by purchasing one of my new kits, too! Click on the preview to find the freebie.

OK, that's all for tonight... but, as I said, I'll be back very soon with news of my newest kit for the Sunshine designer competition, along with instructions for downloading it, too! Thanks for visiting my blog and for leaving me a comment to say hello! :)

CT call! and new kit at Sunshine Studio Scraps

Hi everyone! I hope you are enjoying DSD weekend as much as I am! I just wanted to pop on and let you know that I'm still playing along with the new designer competition over at Sunshine Studio Scraps. We received our second mission and I've completed my kit - here it is! I called it "Aloha Dreams," since it was based on my love for Hawaii. You can download it at Sun by clicking on the preview below (don't forget, you have to be registered and logged in to view/download from Sun's gallery! Click here to register for an account there, if you don't already have one).

And, in other news... I'm looking to form my own Creative Team!! I plan to keep it a very easy-going thing. My CT members will earn free kits based on the layouts they complete, at their own pace and according to their own schedules. Ideally, I'd like to bring on 2 or 3 CT members who focus on layouts and at least 1 CT member who concentrates on hybrid projects. If either of those options sounds like something you'd like to apply for, please email me with: Your full name, your email address, a link to your blog (if you have one), and a link to your most complete online gallery. Oh, and if you're a beginner, please don't hesitate to apply - everyone has to start somewhere and we were all beginners at some point, right?? :) As much as I value experience, I'm also very open to the idea of giving some fresh faces a chance to be on a new Creative Team and grow along with me. Sound good?? I hope so!!

OK, I should have been in bed HOURS ago. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and head over to Sunshine Studio to pick up that freebie while it lasts! And, I always love it when people leave comments, so if you were here, stop for a sec and say Hello! :)
