Speed Scrap Instructions from 9/21/11

Hey everyone! If you weren't able to come to our Speed Scrap tonight - we missed you! But, don't fear... you can still play along and earn the participation prize. Scrap a layout using these steps (and mostly Trixie Scraps Designs products) and upload it to our gallery no later than 11am EST tomorrow morning, 9/22/11. Everyone who plays along will receive the prize in their PM box on the gallery tomorrow!

Here are the steps to follow:
1. Choose two photos for your page and turn them black & white.

2. Choose three papers for your background - one solid, two patterns. Stack them slightly askew.

3. Mat your two photos off to one side of the page with two different circles of paper. Overlap the photos slightly.

4. Cut three to four paper strips and stack them under your photos.

5. Now add a ribbon under your photos, then add a small snippet of the same ribbon to the edge of the page.

6. Embellish with an odd number of elements- your choice! Just make sure there is an odd number of elements and at least one of them is clustered with your small ribbon snippet.

7. Put a one-word title on your page using alpha or wordart - line up your title so its partially overlapping one or both photos.

Rock your shadows, put on your finishing touches and save your layout to 600x600 in size. Then, upload it to our Speed Scrap gallery no later than 11am EST on 9/22/11. While you're there, try and leave some love for your fellow speed scrappers, too! I can't wait to see what you created!

Tonight's instructions were based on this fabulous layout by my CT Star Kris! Thanks for the inspiration, Kris! We'll be announcing next month's Speed Scrap date soon - so stay tuned!

As a reminder, you are playing along to receive this participation prize!
