World Cardmaking Day - Blog Hop

Hi everyone! I'm coming to you today with a very special event here on the blog. Just a couple days ago, I read about World Cardmaking Day on the Operation Write Home blog. In case you have never heard of Operation Write Home, you can read more about it here.

I brought their blog hop idea to the Scrap Stars and many of them wanted to participate along with me. As scrapbookers, our dedication to our families is showcased every day on our pages... but it is rare that we get an opportunity to say THANK YOU to our armed forces for all they do to help us keep our families safe and to preserve our freedoms and democratic ideals. Their sacrifice, and the sacrifice of all those who love them, is felt even more strongly around the holidays. The mission of Operation Write Home is an important one - and we hope you'll consider making some cards of your own to brighten the holiday season for some lucky service man or woman.

So, for this blog hop, we have our own card designs to share with you... and we've also each taken our design and turned it into a digital template, too! We hope these designs (and templates) inspire you to create some holiday cards of your own. So, first let me show off everyone's beautiful cards!

And finally - my own card (with my cute niece Mackenzie!):

I've enjoyed creating this pack so much, I plan to offer some more card templates in my store in the near future, so please bookmark my blog, or subscribe to my newsletter, if that might interest you! Now, for that freebie we promised you! Just click on the preview below to download and enjoy the 11 card templates we created for you. Note, the PSD files can be used by Photoshop or Photoshop Elements users, but we have also included the individual layers of each template as PNG files so that users of other software programs will be able to use them as well. ENJOY!!

Finally, if you would consider donating to Operation Write Home, you can do so by clicking on the donate button below. Thank you for stopping by today!

  4. This is so sweet and loving of you to create all these beautiful cards for our servicemen. This is the first time that I've read about this, but salute all of you for carrying this idea through to the end. Thank you for all these fantastic card templates. It is indeed appreciated. God's blessing!

  5. OMG! Trixie, you are so kind and so extremely generous!!! If I was near you right now, I would give you and each one of your participating ct staff a big hug and a smooch on each of your cheeks (it's before flu season so it should be safe) lolol This is such an amazing gift. You and your ct just gave everyone 10 or 11 card templates for free. It goes without saying, you are such a gracious and kind person and your ct is included in that statement too. You all are constantly making me feel blessed and loved as a customer. If there is anything I can ever do for one of you or help in anyway, don't hesitate to call on me. I would like the chance to bless you Trixie and all of your ct. It sounds stupid, but I do mean it.
    Blessings to all of you!
