October's coming to a close and you all know what that means...desktop freebie time! I made it using my newest favorite Trixie kit, Tuscan Fall. I hope you enjoy it!

Interview pages are a great way to document your life and the lives of the people that are most important to you. They're especially good for those that don't like to journal, since the journaling is all done for you!

I did this page with Well-Suited and Quality Time of 20 questions I asked my son on his 4th birthday -



You don't have to wait for a birthday to do a page like this, though! Here's some ideas for interview pages:

Make a list of your current favorites. Revisit the same questions once a year and see how your favorites change.

Interview each of your kids or your spouse for a list of their favorites.

Pick a hot news topic and ask for opinions.

Ask your parents or grandparents questions about their childhood (especially ask about prices!).

Interview your siblings about childhood memories.

The best part of these pages is that if you are interviewing other adults you can often just send a list of questions through email, making it super-easy to copy and paste the answers to your page!

For this weeks challenge I want to to interview someone and incorporate that into your page created with Trixie Scraps supplies. Post your page in the Trixie Scraps gallery and leave a link in the comments for an entry into our monthly drawing!

Hello Trixie Scrap fans! I have a little trick today to show you how to use the align and distribute tabs in Photoshop. Once I learned how to use this, I found so many ways to apply it in my layouts. Today I'm going to show you how to use it using square paper pieces. I first picked out my background paper. Then I made my square shapes to clip my paper to. After I clipped my paper to my square shapes and shadowed them, I highlight all of the squares.


Then go to the top, just under the menu bar and click "Align". I aligned my squares to the left edge.


Now I wanted to take this one step further. I want my square paper pieces to start at the top of my layout and run the edge down to the bottom. I wanted them evenly spaced, but doing by hand is hard. Also it would be extremely hard to make sure that they are all evenly spaced. This is where the distribute tool comes in handy. I needed to make sure that my top square is at the top of the layout and bottom square at the bottom. (The rest in between don't matter.) Once again highlight all the squares.


Go to the top again right next to the "Align" tab and you'll find the "Distribute" tab. Click that and then go to 'vertical centers'.

I also use the align tool all the time when using alphas for my title. Here is another layout I did using Trixie Scraps Rescue Me.

Happy Monday and welcome to another edition of Make It Hybrid Monday! Fall is upon us and in addition to the pumpkins on my doorstep, I also wanted to create some simple decorations inside of the house. Today, we're going to create pumpkin ornaments to hang around the house in a few easy steps using Tuscan Fall by Trixie Scraps


Here are the supplies that you will need:
- 1 sheet of orange colored patterned paper/ cardstock
- Circle punch (any size)
- Adhesive (Dry and Glue Dots/ Hot Glue Gun)
- String
- Ribbon
- Brown paper bag or kraft paper


Step 1: Punch 6 circles out of your orange colored patterned paper/ cardstock. Make sure that they are the same size.Then fold all of the circles in half into the colored side of the paper. Once you have 6 folded circles, adhere the folded circles together in groups of three


Step 2: Tie your string into a loop and adhere to one side of the folded circle. Adhere the two folded circles together


Step 3: Add a stem at the top of the ornament with a glue dot and add any additional embellishments. I tied a ribbon at the bottom of the step and also added a crystal at the bottom.

Hello, Trixie Scraps Fans! Mary Kate here with another Sunday Spotlight. Today I chose to interview Kristin (aka Sagediva2). Her siggy caught my attention in one of the forums... she had used Trixie's Rescue Me kit and it was absolutely adorable! So, let's get to know Kristin better...

1. Tell us a little about yourself.
I'm Kristin but better known as Sagediva2 throughout the scrapping community. I started paper scrapping in 2000 then transitioned into digital scrapbooking in 2008. I have learned so much from when I started and enjoy learning new things when I can. I live in Lakeland, FL with my DH, Eric, of 3 years and my 19th month old daughter, Kaylyn. We also have a black lab, Havana, and two kitties, London and Sydney. So our house is always in constant motion and noisy.

2. How did you get into digi?
I had a room in our house just for my paper scrapping things. I knew that I would have to change this room into a nursery one day so I got into digital scrapping that way. I started and was instantly hooked.

3. What do you like to scrap about?
Most of my pages are about my DD. I want to make sure to scrap her life

4. What do you listen to while you scrap?
I usually don’t have anything playing. I scrap after DD has gone to bed so I enjoy the peace and quiet. On the rare occasions when I need some background noise, I have a Christian Rock radio station on.

5. If you were trapped on a desert island what three things would you want to have with you?
It all depends if you count people. I would have to have DH and DD. If you mean three items, not people, I would say a computer, my Kindle, and a cell phone.

6. What's the name of the last book you read?
I am in the middle of The Help by Katheryn Stockett.

7. What is the one scrapping tool you couldn't do without?
My computer of course.

8. What is your favorite Trixie Scraps layout?
Usually my most recent layout is my favorite. Surprisingly it’s not of my DD it’s of my kitty, London.
It’s called Love My Cat.

Happy Thursday Trixie Scraps Fans! Today I was inspired by word art that I have been seeing all over the web with clusters of words on a certain subject. I thought it would be fun to incorporate the style into digi pages. I found a neat website at Wordle.com that helps create a word art out of words you choose. I chose to use the poem "Autumn, Queen of Year" by Winifred Sackville Stoner Jr. This is the result!



My challenge to you is to make a page using the word art. Simple as that! You can download it HERE And in a few weeks, I will be back with a tutorial on how to make your own word art just like this! Or, head to the website and try it out for yourself.

Jennifer here, welcoming you to another Tips, Trends and Technique Tuesdays! Today is a technique especially for all of the Storybook Creator Plus users! One of the things I love about Trixie's kits are that they almost always include an alpha set. Most of the time the color or pattern of the alpha works great, but once in awhile, I love the alpha style, but wish I could change the color/fill of the letters for some reason or another. Or maybe, I like an alpha from one kit, but I'm using a different kit(s) for my page and the colors just don't go together. For all of you who use Storybook Creator Plus, I'm going to walk you thru the process of customizing your alphas and titles, and you'll be a pro in no time!!!

Once you have the letters placed on your page how you want them, select them all and on the Arrange tab, click on Group and then Flatten.

I really love the look of using papers from the kit to refill the alphas. It reminds me of my old Sizzix days but without all the time and hassle involved. Make sure your alpha grouping is selected and then go under your Content tab and select the paper you want to use fill the letters in. Solid papers work best as well as small prints. If you use a small print, you may want to experiment with flattening and not flattening your letters to see what look you like best. Click on your selected paper and under the dropdown menu, choose Fill Selected Shape.

Voila!! Add your shadows under the Format tab and you can be done!

For an added bit of oomph, right click on your title, choose Apply a Filter, select 3D edge and click on Apply.

You now have a title or wordart that looks like it was designed just for the page you created!
