Challenge Thursday: Get Inspired by the word SWIM!

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to be here posting to you all today. Normally, I leave the challenges for my girls to host (because I know it's their favorite day of the week to snag a post), but this month, I just had to snag a Challenge Thursday for me. It's been a while! So, on this installment of Challenge Thursday, I'm going to be challenging you to scrap using one word as your inspiration. That one word can be in your title, in your journaling, or even be represented by your photos. Are you ready? I decided the word we would use this month is SWIM. When I was a kid, this was the time of year that the swim season would really kick into full gear. My brothers, my sister and I spent just about every sunny day (and some of the not-so-sunny ones!) in our backyard pool and I absolutely loved it. Someday, I hope to have a pool in my own backyard again... I really miss it!

So, here is the page I personally scrapped for this challenge. I used a mixture of kits - Fishy Friends (on sale this week!), Blue Skies Ahead, and a couple water splats from Puddle Jumpers. Also, one of my alphas was a Fishy Friends add-on alpha freebie offered in my newsletter a while back. I've been wanting to play around with some page designs that really fill up the whole page. I would love to hear what you think of this layout - would you love to see a set of templates with pretty "full" page designs like this one? Let me know in the comments!

    I really love your layout Tracy! And if I see a layout like this, I love templates like this too! But I just can't make them work like this myself. So I wouldn't be buying them probably.
    I love the word choice! I had the same childhood as you it seems: I was always in the water in the summer. We had a pool in our backyard ourselfs, and in between classes I would come home: take a swim and go back to school again! I should have lots of photo's to scrap to join in the challenge.

    And it is so adorable! I have few adopted children with paws :).

    The "swim" layouts are awesome--cooled me off a bit!! I have always had a problem with white space; unless I have a white space template, I typically fill the page. Yes, I would LOVE filled-page templates designed like your layout--yummy!!
