TTT Tuesday: How to use the desktop backrounds and QP's!

Welcome to June's first edition of Tips, Trends and Techniques!  A little while ago there was a question on Trixie's Facebook fan page asking how to add your photos to the free monthly desktops we make.  I thought it would be great to make a post with a simple run through.  I am using PSPXI but this should translate easily into other programs.  I am using the gorgeous June freebie that Mary Kate made for us!

First you will need to open both the photo and desktop (choose the right size desktop for your monitor resolution).  Copy and paste the photo onto the desktop and either drag the photo layer underneath the desktop in the layers palette or go to Layers>Arrange>Move Down



Next you will need to position the photo how you want it, resizing if necessary.



Once everything is positioned how you want it, save the file, but be sure to change it to JPEG from a PNG.



Now you will need to right click on the JPEG desktop and select Set as Desktop Backround and voila!



Now this can also easily be used for premade quick pages.  The steps are all the same, you just need to make sure you don't overlap photos if it is a multi photo QP.
